We at Sirco Industrial, Inc specialize in recycling high purity water and have 100's of installations that not only recycle the high purity water for reuse, but also reduce the need for new water sources even though the impact of industrial use is great. The processing of "potable" water into high purity water requires a certain amount (up to 50%) of that water to be lost as reject as in the case of RO water treatment as well as the costs associated. Recycling "High Purity" water is a major contributor to reduction of water use in Industrial operations.

The concept of desalination sounds great to me. However, what do we do with the remaining brine after the process is completed? To put the brine back into the ocean will eventually upset the balance of salt in seawater and cause harm to marine life. Perhaps burning the brine with radio frequency would be a good way to produce fresh water in the thermal process to work in tandem with reverse osmosis process.
